About this experience
Many travellers combine Andalusia and Morocco by ferry from Tarifa or Algeciras. This itinerary picks you up at Tangier's port or airport and travels the length of the country without backtracking. After a short visit of Tangier's kasbah and Cape Spartel, you spend a night in Chefchaouen, then visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis and Meknes on the way to Fes.
After a guided day in Fes, the route crosses the Middle Atlas to the Erg Chebbi dunes for a camel trek and a night in a camp, then heads west through the Todra and Dades gorges, the Rose Valley and Ait Benhaddou to Marrakech.
